Ummm...What's ILAB ? OIR ?

So tell me, patriot, have you ever heard of ILAB ?

Nope. Do they fix iphones ?

Well, not exactly. ILAB is yet another dangerous Marxist-style agency in our bloated Federal Leviathan that almost no one has ever heard of. ILAB is an acronym for "Bureau of International Affairs" and is a sub-bureaucracy of the Department of Labor. It's stated mission is this:

***

"The Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB) leads the U.S. Department of Labor’s efforts to ensure that workers around the world are treated fairly and are able to share in the benefits of the global economy. ILAB’s mission is to use all available international channels to improve working conditions, raise living standards, protect workers’ ability to exercise their rights, and address the workplace exploitation of children and other vulnerable populations."

***

Hey, that doesn't sound too good.

Yep. That's as commie pinko as it sounds.

Oh, but this gets better. Oh, so much better.

ILAB has its own sub-bureaucracy, the Office of International Relations, or OIR. What does the OIR do ?

I'm not going to like this, am I ?

Nope.

***

"The Office of International Relations represents or facilitates representation of the U.S. Government in the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the labor components of international organizations; provides expertise, research and advice on labor and employment trends and issues in foreign countries; and helps facilitate the sharing of information between specialized DOL agencies and other countries. The ILO is the primary labor standard setting and monitoring organization in the world."

I---we---Can they---

Don't get all wobbly on me now, patriot! There's more! Guess who runs the ILO ?

***

"The International Labour Organization (ILO) is the only tripartite U.N. agency with government, employer, and worker representatives. This tripartite structure makes the ILO a unique forum in which the governments and the social partners of the economy of its 185 Member States can freely and openly debate and elaborate labour standards and policies."

What does this mean for everyday folks like us ?

It means more of our money is redistributed to folks in the Third World who deserve it way more than we who earned it. For example:

In other words, we have our own Obamunintern. Forward, indeed.

Ladies and gentlemen, I'm fully aware that this wouldn't even be a drop in the bucket when it comes to spending by the Federal Leviathan. After all, our dog eating Homosexual Agenda Pusher in Chief, Barack Hussein Obama, spends $2.2 mil before he grabs his golf bag in the afternoon. Defunding ILAB or the OIR won't bring us to some sort of of Right Wing Utopia. I get that.

But at the same time, we can't ignore things like this, either. The federal government is now using tax dollars to spread Marxist propaganda by using unaccountable, unconstitutional bureaucracies Take a moment and let that sink in. This is as sinister as it gets. If you need further proof, take a gander who's running the show at ILAB:

***

"Carol Pier was sworn in as the Associate Deputy Undersecretary for International Affairs at the Department of Labor on August 24, 2009. In that capacity, she assists the Deputy Undersecretary in carrying out her responsibilities.

For ten years prior to her appointment, Ms. Pier worked on labor rights and trade issues for Human Rights Watch, the largest U.S.-based non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting and protecting human rights. She documented and reported on workers' rights violations around the world, analyzed foreign and domestic labor laws, and engaged in advocacy on labor rights and trade matters in the United States and abroad.

Ms. Pier is a graduate of Harvard Law School and holds a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame."

Hmmm..."Human Rights Watch".....Why does that word make the hairs on the back of my neck stand at the position of attention ? Oh wait, now I remember! This is why:

***

"While professing neutrality in matters of war and peace, [Human Rights Watch] has been a staunch foe of the American-led war on terror. The organization was a signatory to a November 1, 2001 document characterizing the 9/11 attacks as a legal matter to be addressed by criminal-justice procedures rather than military means. Ascribing the hijackers’ motives to alleged social injustices against which they were protesting, this document explained that 'security and justice are mutually reinforcing goals that ultimately depend upon the promotion of all human rights for all people,' and called on the United States 'to promote fundamental rights around the world.' Similarly, in 2002 HRW claimed that the United States and its coalition allies 'have substituted expediency for the firm commitment to human rights that alone can defeat the rationale of terrorism.' Moreover, HRW warned that 'the coalition risks reinforcing the logic of terrorism unless human rights are given a far more central role.' That is, unless coalition forces followed HRW’s distinctive definition of human rights, they were only reinforcing the 'view that anything goes in the name of a cause.' "

And guess who helps fund Human Rights Watch ? C'mon...take a guess,,,,

***

"In accepting a huge grant [$100 million] from George Soros, Human Rights Watch has spurned the public advice (and warning) offered nearly a year ago by its founder Robert Bernstein. Rather than grapple with the serious problems of credibility and bias, HRW Executive Director Kenneth Roth has cemented relations with Soros -- a partisan ideologue who also supports Moveon.org, a controversial advocacy group."

We're on the edge of complete political, economic, and social disaster. I can't gussy it up. I can't make it sound palatable. It is what it is. The end is nigh, God help us all.
